派遣前訓練20日目B型肝炎予防接種

B型肝炎の予防接種の前に所外活動とOV DAYのオリエンテーションがあった。

所外活動の目的として、幼稚園や老人ホームに訪問して、受け入れ先の日常業務を手伝いながら、コミュニケーション力や企画調整力、異なる環境への適応力を高めるということをうたっている。

よくわからなかったのがJOCVが必修で、SVが選択だった点。

シニアこそ自分の技術力がある分プライドが高い人が多いと思うので、自分から柔軟に異なる環境へ入っていく練習を積んだ方がよいと思うのだが。。

おそらく、シニアボランティアを受け入れる先が想像以上にないことが選択になっている最大の原因だと思う。

日本の文化として年上の人に仕事の指示を出すのは、心理的にはばかられる部分があるので無理もない話。

文系大学院生が就職に困るのも、教育を担当するのが彼らよりも年下の人間なので微妙な空気が職場にただようことは想像に難くない。

また、所外活動を行うと風邪やインフルエンザにかかる人がいるので、ウィルスを持ち込むのを避けるため、全員訪問時にマスクをしてくださいという指示があった。

体力増進と語学力向上が目的のはずなのに時間を削って健康を害するようなリスクの高いことをやらせるのかと若干怒りに震えたが、表だっていうのはやめた。

I didn't understand that the activity was essencial for JOCV, but optional for SV.

Because senior volunteers have confidence in their ability,
many of them are so proud.
It is necessary for them to train to adapt to different environments.

Maybe, because there are less facilities which accept senior volunteers
than we think, the activity is optional for SV.

In Japanese culture, It is so hard to order to senior people.
We hesitate to do.

Probably it is same reason that
Japanese graduate students of arts have difficulty in getting a job.
It is a delicate situation that people who teach them are junior to them,

The staff of NTC told us that
after the activity, some people would have a caught.
So we must wear a mask when we do the activity.

Though the objectives of the training are
to increase the health of ourselves and the ability of ourselves target languages,
the activity put the health at risk and cut our time.
I was anger about it, but I complained it
