派遣前訓練49日目表敬訪問オリエンテーション

表敬訪問オリエンテーションがあった。

内容としては提出書類の書き方に関する説明と各自、掲示板に出ている日程を確認してくださいということだけだった。

表敬訪問とは各ボランティアが所属する都道府県と市町村を訪問して、抱負等をアピールする。JICAボランティア事業はODAで運営されており、国民すべてに支えられている事業。地方自治体との関係、市民の理解、幅広い広報のために行われている。

地方公共団体は教職員や自治体職員出身のボランティアのための制度を整備をしているので、今後もよろしくお願いします的なイベント。

ある地方公共団体では教職員の選考の際に、協力隊枠というものがあるとのこと。

しかし、そんな枠はいらないと思う。

活動の成果をフィードバックする方法がないので、2年間一生懸命活動している隊員もいれば、遊んでいる隊員もいる。

協力隊を経験しているというだけで特別扱いするわけにはいかない。

表敬訪問はかったるいというのもあるが、訓練終了から出国まで時間がないので、その時間をつぶされるのがいたいところ。

自分の県の場合は比較的隊員が多い。駒ケ根で訓練をしているボランティアと会うのは初めてになるので、顔をあわせるのにいい機会と思ってポジティブにとらえておきたい。

After the language lesson, a orientation of courtesy call was held.

In the contents of the orientation, staff of NTC said that a form of courtesy call report was changed and we should check the schedule of the courtesy call at bulletin board.

The courtesy call is that we will visit local public entity and express our hope.

JICA volunteer project is one of the ODA project. Therefore It is supported by the nation. It is done for the relationship of local public entities, understanding of citizen and publicity.

Local public entities provided system for volunteers who worked as teacher or staff at them. So the courtesy call is done to express gratitude for them.

Some local public entities provide special selection for JOCV.

In my opinion, they don't need to provide such a selection.

Because volunteers don't be estimated, for 2 years some volunteers work hard, other volunteers work little.

Therefore local public entities should not treat them special.

Many volunteers will go to same prefecture as a courtesy call. So I will see many volunteers who have trained in KTC for the first time and I thougth it is good oportunity for them to get together.
