派遣前訓練53日目語学交流会

英語 派遣前訓練


午後から語学交流会があった。


語学交流会はネイティブスピーカーをゲストを招いて、任国での自分の仕事内容を紹介したり、ゲストの出身国について質問を行う。


当然、学習言語で。


ただし英語クラスは外部からのゲストではなく、NTCにいる講師をゲストとして招く。面白みがないと英語クラスの人は言っていた。


ポルトガル語のクラスのゲストはモザンビーク大使館の方と筑波大学の留学生だった。


以下のことをおこなった。


国旗の意味と国歌の意味をすらすら答えていただいたのが印象的だった。


彼らがモザンビークの知識階層であることを考えれば当然だが、日本人であそこまですらすら言える人は自分の知り合いではあまりいない。


この交流会で彼らは2つのものをくれた。一つ目はモザンビークのパンフレット。もう一つはポルトガル語への大いなる不安である。


固有名詞ぐらいしかはっきり聞き取れるものがなかった。。本気で喋られると、どんな話題の話をしているのかすら分からない。


気合いが入ったという意味では良かったと思う。



In this afternoon language exchange was held.


In language exchange, we invited native speakers and introduced our work in host countries to them and asked them about their countries.


We must use our target language in language exchange.


But English classes invite teachers in NTC instead of outsiders. Maybe NTC didn't have sufficient budget. Some members of English classes said that it was not interesting.


Guests in Portuguese class were staff of Mozambique embassy and foreign student of Tsukuba University.


We did the following.

  • self-introduction
  • speech
  • question
  • singing national anthems(Mozambique and Japan)


I was impressed that they explained the meaning of national anthem and national flag smoothly.


It was natural because they are more educated than other Mozambicans. But I don't know Japanese who can explain the meaning of national anthem and national flag as well as them.


In this exchange, they gave us two things. First was many brochure of Mozambique. Second was worry. They disturbed us about our abilities of Portuguese.


I can listen only proper nouns clearly. If they talk normally, I can't even understand what they talk about.


It was good event because we found that we needed to study harder than we did then.
